recently I posted my guide for preparing your own prenup cheaply and easily without needing large resources.
(on prenup meaning you can read here)

it occurred to me that there are people that like to explore things more thoroughly, especially when such important issues like a prenuptial agreement is on the line. so to help those that seek more information I will introduce this book review of a book named: “Prenuptial Agreements: How to Write a Fair & Lasting Contract” by by Katherine Stoner Attorney (Author), Shae Irving (Author). a book that covers the subject thoroughly.

this is the  5th Edition of this great practical book. first, I want to say that this is wonderful that the authors keep this book up to date. I find a lot of outdated books out there with obsolete and old data which is misguiding.

*it is important to state that although the authors make a lot of effort keeping the information up to date, you should get a professional lawyer to review and help the actual prenup, in order to make sure it is valid.

usually, when we think about prenup we think of an agreement in which one or both parties have secret agenda. this book it the exact opposite. this books primary assumption is that both parties want the agreement to be fair and honest. if you considering hiding information from your spouse this book is NOT for you.

How to Write a Fair & Lasting Contract – what makes the book special

what’s make the book so special is the fact that it accompanies the couple in each and every state of the process. it helps you find out if you even need a prenuptial agreement. and it takes you all the way to the point in which you have a written prenup tailor-made for your specific situation and needs.

the book offers you, the reader, tools like worksheets to help you reach your goals and figure out your assets. this makes the book practical and not just theoretical.

this book is written for regular people and not lawyers. in order to follow this notion the book is written in clear language without complicated “law terms”.

the thing I found unique about the book is the fact that the book follows 3  deferent couples in their quest to make their own prenup. you will have the chance to read how each couple went through the process and even read part of their prenup, so you can see an example of a real people prenuptial agreement.

this book also explains special situations like for example a prenup for same-sex couples.
